The Lore of Jade
Jade represents good fortune, beauty, grace, and purity. Confucius, the ancient Chinese sage, likened jade to virtue. To him, it represented humanity, and thus its meaning is part of the culture that surrounds it.
In Asia, jade is considered a pure and concentrated source of Yang energy. According to Taoist alchemy, jade can reverse the ageing process and promote a long life. It can be worn to increase material wealth or to improve one's luck or good fortune.
Jade is also considered to be the concentrated essence of love, and when worn as a bracelet, necklace, or as a bangle, radiates divine and unconditional love, courage, justice, and wisdom.
About Quality and GradingPlease note that much of the jade jewelry you will see for sale from other suppliers is artificial, that is to say, steps are done to enhance the transparency and color of the piece. These pieces of jade are grade B or C, which means that for grade B it has been bleached with sulfuric acid to remove the impurities; impregnated with polymer (a plastic), and then coated with a hard plastic. Grade C has the traits of grade B, but it has been artificially dyed after the bleaching process.
Unlike most suppliers of jade, we only use the best quality and the highest grades for our jewelry. Our jade (jadeite) comes from Myanmar (Burma). It is grade A; therefore, it is natural and untreated. So, when you buy Qing Jade, you can be assured that you are buying real value.
